P7 to Year 8 Team Building Workshop

How to work effectively with others, communicate clearly, and contribute positively within a team.

Our P7 to Year 8 Team Building Workshop is designed to support pupils as they prepare for the move to “big school.” Through fun, interactive activities, pupils take part in ice-breakers and team challenges that help them get to know one another, build friendships, and feel more comfortable about the transition ahead.

The workshop creates a relaxed and engaging environment where pupils can connect with peers, develop confidence, and begin forming positive relationships before starting Year 8. By working together in games and group tasks, pupils experience how teamwork, communication, and support from others can make new situations feel easier and more enjoyable.

Themes of The Workshop

1. Ice-Breakers & Building Connections

Pupils take part in fun ice-breaker activities designed to help them get to know each other, build trust, and feel more comfortable in new group settings. This supports friendship building and reduces anxiety around meeting new classmates.

2. Teamwork Through Games & Challenges

Through engaging games and group challenges, pupils learn how to work together, communicate effectively, and support one another. These shared experiences help strengthen peer relationships and create a sense of belonging ahead of Year 8.

3. Understanding the Impact of Their Behaviour on Others

Pupils explore how their words and actions can affect others within a group. Through activities and reflection, they develop awareness of respect, inclusion, and positive behaviour, helping them contribute to a supportive and welcoming environment as they move into Year 8.
