Increasing Resilience: April 15th-19th, 2024

We will guide pupils in adopting practical strategies to incorporate into their weekly routines, fostering the development of resilience and maintaining mental well-being.

This workshop equips children with the means to enhance their Emotional Intelligence. The essential skills covered in the workshop include:

Hunt The Good
Kindness
Empathy

Adaptive Response
Three Pillars of GrowthThree Pillars of Growth May 13th-17th, 2024

In this workshop, we delve into three fundamental pillars of growth:

Growing Through Challenges:

Setbacks offer a chance for growth when we are willing to learn from them. This requires taking 'responsibility' and eliminating 'blame.'

Emotional Growth: We explore the 'big 5' emotions and examine the Thoughts-Emotions-Actions cycle (TEA Time). By discussing typical classroom scenarios, students realise that power lies in how they choose to perceive a situation.

Collective Growth: Students will recognise the significance of being a 'team player' and understand how their actions toward others can influence their feelings and performance.

“We engaged in HIP sessions focusing on self-esteem and resilience. We found the experience to be very successful and it was very motivational for our children. On the back of this initial session we had HIP back to delver to Primary 5s around antibullying.”

“Excellent and inspiring workshops that are always pitched at the appropriate level. Our pupils, staff and parents have all benefitted hugely from the different sessions that HIP has delivered.”

We first had HIP Psychology in our school working with our year 14 girls around managing exam pressures. On the back of this successful workshop, we invited HIP Psychology back in to deliver modules to our students around exam preparation and motivation. We have found all sessions to be hugely inspiring and highly beneficial to our students. We would recommend HIP Psychology services to other schools.

After our anti-bullying work with HIP, we now have a group of children who are aware of their behavior and how this impacts on others’ lives. This is a very important concept for us as we are developing young citizens. The success of this session led to us going through the HIP transition program.

Our staff enjoyed a half-day HIP program focussing on culture and the ingredients needed for excellence. The day was facilitated with understanding, clarity, and humour. It left us with robust processes, goals, and plenty to think about going forward.

The HIP Psychology pre-exam study skills session was of great benefit to our year 12 pupils. The session helped them develop robust strategies to add value to their preparation, revision and learning environment. There was a nice balance between interaction and group work, which led to high levels of pupil engagement.

Our year 13 boys and the year 13 girls from Our Lady’s Grammar jointly took part in a HIP motivation workshop. The pupils came away from the session with a greater focus, the ability to prioritise and a sense of purpose for the year ahead. The workshop was very practical with the boys and girls able to relate to it. The session was interactive, educational and enjoyable
