Hip N Healthy: Conquering P7 Worries
Face challenges with confidence, calm, and excitement, rather than anxiety
We specifically deliver this workshop in Term 1 as it is perfect preparation for pupils sitting the SEAG test; however, it is highly relevant to all pupils P6 and P7 pupils whether sitting the test or not.
Themes of The Workshop
Swim Your Own Lane
Pupils will come to understand the negative impact of constantly comparing themselves to others and focusing on them. One of our key ideas is to “swim in your own lane.”
We promote the message that while only one person can be the best, EVERYBODY can be their own best
Maintain Emotional Control
Your P6 and P7s will discover how to gain control in the build-up to pressure-inducing events. They will also learn how to maintain emotional control in the midst of stressful situations, enabling them to think clearly under pressure through the skill of squared-breathing.
Confidence
Your pupils will learn how to maintain and develop a sense of belief in the various scenarios they encounter in their lives. The workshop will explore the skill of self-talk.
'Let it go'
This workshop will teach your children how to ‘let go’ of both worries and mistakes, and understand the positive impact this can have. They will learn how to recover from setbacks, both during and after a performance. The strategies enabling this include the W.I.N. principle (What’s Important Now).
