Senior Cycle
Fifth – Sixth Year

Fifth Year: Taking Control
Our ‘Taking Control’ workshop is designed to empower students to manage their anxieties and fears effectively, both in the lead-up to exams and during them. By equipping them with a toolkit of suitable skills, HIP supports students to perform to the best of their abilities and unlock their full potential.

Fifth Year: Peak Exam Performance
Our workshop draws from five years of experience working with the Ulster Rugby Academy, where we honed psychological skills tailored for professional athletes. Now, we’re bringing those techniques to students, guiding them through the exam journey.
Our goal? To make learning enjoyable and empowering. By the end of our workshop, students will walk away with key strategies to enable them to go into exams with confidence, clarity and in control.

Fifth Year - Sixth Year: Nailing the Interview game
Our workshop is designed to develop student’s knowledge and understanding of good practice leading up to and during an interview. Students will explore their personal strengths and link them to past experiences. In addition, HIP will investigate how to effectively deliver key messages and express themselves in an appropriate manner.

Sixth Year: Financial Foundations
Our HIP workshop focusing on managing money/budgeting will explore the ‘Needs’ and ‘Wants’ regarding expenditures and develop awareness of cost associated with their needs and wants.
HIP offers practical and current advice to manage and save money in relation to food, socialising, shopping etc. & dicusses the many benefits associated with part time jobs.
