HIP N HEALTHY offers flexible, interactive live online workshops for P4 to P7 pupils. P4 and P5 participate in one-hour sessions, while P6 and P7s last 75-minute sessions. Ensure you select the appropriate workshop for each age group.

We have Package deals to choose from: Bronze (8 classes), Silver (16 classes), Gold (24 classes). Note: 1 class = one individual workshop.

Workshop 1: Excel With Pressure: October/November

Delivered to coincide with SEAG test, this workshop teaches children key psychological skills to thrive with different pressures (stage, sports, tests, friendships) they face in life.

Highly applicable for all children from P5 up, this workshop will explore the following:

Swim Your Own Lane: Focus on yourself with the message that only one person can be the best, but everyone can be their best

Box Breathing: Allowing you to think clearly and stay calm when faced with ‘important moments’

Self-Talk: How this can be used to facilitate self-confidence

W.I.N: By focusing on ‘What’s Important Now’. When we can stay in the moment by focusing on the only thing we can control, the present moment.

VIEW WORKSHOP

Workshop 2: Anti-Bullying: November

Pupils will leave this workshop with crystal clarity on what exactly bullying is and what it is not, reducing the both incidents of bullying and levels of false accusations within a school.

The children will also become aware of the impact their behaviour and words have on others, increasing their emotional skill of empathy.

Finally, we will explore conflict and conclude that at times, conflict can be healthy. We will also discuss how to manage unhealthy conflict.

Workshop 3: Children's Mental Health Week: The Emotional Detectives: February

We explore the ‘big 5’ of emotional development through the lens of the movie ‘inside out.’ Emotional intelligence is a greater predictior of future success than IQ.

We will help children to experience, identify, and manage emotions. This promotes the language needed to build their emotional development, allowing children to normalise negative emotions and give them the tools to navigate them.

This workshop will allow children to explore and engage with the world around them, as well as form positive relationships.

Workshop 4: Tackling Anxiety: March

The workshop will delve into the following:

Categories of anxiety:

Big/small,
Real/imagined,
Short term/long-term.

Awareness: We will emphasise the impact anxiety can have on our bodies and minds.

Normalising: Pupils will recognise that feeling anxious is a quite common experience, capable of impacting individuals in varied ways at different times

Pupil Toolkit: We will provide four evidence-based practical strategies pupils can use to manage and overcome unhelpful anxiety

Workshop 5: Enhancing Resilience: May

We will guide pupils in adopting practical strategies to incorporate into their weekly routines, fostering the development of resilience and maintaining mental well-being.

This workshop equips children with the means to enhance their emotional intelligence. The essential skills covered in the workshop include:

Optimism
Kindness
Empathy

Workshop 6: Taking The Next Step- P7 Transitions: May and June

We provide your P7 pupils with the tools to welcome the upcoming changes and challenges in the next phase of their school journey with confidence.

By the conclusion of the session, students will perceive this next step in their educational journey through the lens of excitement rather than worry.
