Workshop 1: Conquering P7 Worries : October/November
Delivered to coincide with SEAG test, this workshop teaches children key psychological skills to thrive with different pressures (stage, sports, tests, friendships) they face in life.
Highly applicable for all children from P5 up, this workshop will explore the following:
Swim Your Own Lane: Focus on yourself with the message that only one person can be the best, but everyone can be their best
Box Breathing: Allowing you to think clearly and stay calm when faced with ‘important moments’
Self-Talk: How this can be used to facilitate self-confidence
W.I.N: By focusing on ‘What’s Important Now’. When we can stay in the moment by focusing on the only thing we can control, the present moment.
Workshop 2: Anti-Bullying: November
Pupils will leave this workshop with crystal clarity on what exactly bullying is and what it is not, reducing the both incidents of bullying and levels of false accusations within a school.
The children will also become aware of the impact their behaviour and words have on others, increasing their emotional skill of empathy.
Finally, we will explore conflict and conclude that at times, conflict can be healthy. We will also discuss how to manage unhealthy conflict.
Workshop 3: Children's Mental Health Week: February
We explore the ‘big 5’ of emotional development through the lens of the movie ‘inside out.’ Emotional intelligence is a greater predictior of future success than IQ.
We will help children to experience, identify, and manage emotions. This promotes the language needed to build their emotional development, allowing children to normalise negative emotions and give them the tools to navigate them.
This workshop will allow children to explore and engage with the world around them, as well as form positive relationships.
